Application Notes for High-Purity Helium: A Gas Purification Equipment Manufacturer Tells You!

The applications of gases are becoming increasingly widespread, appearing in both industrial settings and our daily lives. High-purity helium gas should be used with a pressure reducer such as the YQY-12 or 152IN-125 before use. Before use, check for leaks in the gas pipeline with soapy water to ensure that the gas pipeline is leak-free. Ensure that the helium does not leak and that the workplace is well-ventilated.

Ensure that the helium does not leak and that the workplace is well-ventilated.

When the helium content increases, causing the oxygen content to fall below 19.5%, the patient will first experience rapid breathing, inattention, and ataxia; this will be followed by fatigue, restlessness, nausea, vomiting, coma, convulsions, and eventually death.

Packaged cylinders have a service life printed on them. Cylinders that have reached their expiration date must be sent to the relevant department for safety inspection before they can be used again. When each helium cylinder is used to the end, the remaining pressure should be kept at 0.5 MPa, and no less than 0.25 MPa. The valve should be closed to ensure gas quality and safety.

Another aspect is the transportation and application of gas cylinders, which have relatively strict operating procedures. They should be stacked separately, away from open flames and heat sources. Keep away from fire, oil, and grease, avoid sun exposure, avoid heavy throwing, and avoid impacts. Do not arc or weld on the cylinder, and strictly prohibit rough handling. For short-distance movement, use a special hand truck for gas cylinders; for long-distance movement, use hazardous materials transport vehicles.
